SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY
The Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry was begun in 1974 under the guidance of the late Reverend Alexander Dumas Moseley. The ministry awarded its first scholarship in 1983. The purpose of the ministry is to encourage and provide financial assistance to church members seeking higher education and to remember loved ones in a tangible way.
Scholarship grants are awarded each. To date there are 29 named scholarships, and with 346 grants have been awarded to 125 members of our church family.
